The First Post ( fingers crossed! )

Bonjour and Kia Ora and Hello ...

This is my first blog ever; and so far I have found the blogging process exciting and a little complex too. However, I seem to have managed to get this far! So it must be OK.

This blog is part of the course: Participation Occupation 1, a course in the second year of the Occupational Therapy degree. As part of this course, students are asked to create a blog to record their learnings about information and communication technologies (how they are used in today's society, how people use ICT, why they use ICT, the benefits and drawbacks of ICT, old technologies vs new technologies and various ethical issues associated with ICT).

We will use these blogs to post written accounts about what we think, feel and have learned regarding ICT, and in the process will learn how to post pictures, web links and videos etc relevant to the topics we discuss.

Well, that's my understanding of what we are meant to be doing, anyway! Exciting stuff!

PS. Thought I'd add a photo ... a relaxing picture of the scenery at the end of my garden!
